Laos, JICA plough ahead on clean agriculture initiative
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Laos is continuing cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to help farmers in Vientiane and the provinces of Luang Prabang, Xieng Khuang and Huaphan to engage in clean agriculture and expand market opportunities.
Representatives from the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and JICA on Tuesday came together at the Second Joint Coordinating Committee meeting which addressed issues in promoting the Clean Agriculture Development Project, especially organic crop plantations.
